Jeannie's (Kinda) Merry News & Notes:
Im sitting here crying. What with everything going on in my world lately, who can really blame me for being overly emotional. But today Im crying for a good reason: YOU! ![]()
Whenever I log into my account, I am always met with such immense support and love from everyone that it really and truly warms my little heart. Whether I think Ive posted something truly noteworthy or just a dumb little snapshot, the comments and
I receive is always such an uplift on the darkest of days. I barely even check my personal e-mail accounts lately, as I feel like theyre always full of bad news or worse news. But for me, dA is always that ray of sunshine that can bring a smile in the midst of a hurricane.
THANK YOU, my friends!
For helping me to get through a very tough past few months.
(1) Daily Deviations. It was exciting to see more amazing artists receive Daily Deviation honors this week. I only had one successful suggestion, but it's not the quantity that counts, right? ![]()

(2) Lets Play With Ketchup is back, back, back.
I can't believe it has been nearly 9 months since I first had the idea for this feature and began with weekly posts. Nine months! "Ketchup" is officially my dA child! ![]()

(3) Features of YOUR Work. Last year, I spent over a month whittling through a year's worth of features to select what I considered my personal favorite art of 2008. This year, I obviously did not have the time to do that again. Rather than simply do away with the feature this year, I decided to put a new twist on things: I asked all of you to tell me your favorite pieces of your own art from 2009. I used that information to create an end of 2009 feature: The Best: 2009 Through Your Eyes.
Check it out: [link]
Note: I realized last week after I posted the article that I was missing a few people's work. Slight oversight and I am most sorry. Here are your features:

(4) A Hint of A Lingering Suggestion. Two weeks ago we bid a fond adieu to this feature of my Daily Deviation suggestions. Ive decided that my time is better spent tackling other projects right now. However, you can always view my latest suggestions @ [link]
(5) Features Of My Work. Id like to thank all of the following deviants who I recently discovered have featured my work in their journals, news articles, etc. It means so very much to me! ![]()

(6) Please Practice Tolerance, Love, & Understanding This Holiday Season!!!
I feel like every time I turn on the news, read a newspaper, or listen to the radio, all I hear about is the desecration of a churchs Christmas display; a stores Holiday display; a menorah; Christmas tree; etc. This is appalling and disgusting!!! This morning on the radio, a lovely 'commercial' imploring Christians to remember the true importance of Christmas (vs the commercial hype) ended with a disclaimer stating that the sponsors hoped they had not "offended" anyone. *sighs sadly*
I believe in love and understanding and tolerance of other peoples beliefs. If someone wishes me a Happy Hanukah, I understand perfectly their intent in those words- and its nothing but love and peace and kindness. Why must we bicker and quarrel and show utter disrespect for one anothers beliefs? I know I have a tendency to say Merry Christmas- as this is the Holiday I will be celebrating this month- but I also know that when I say Merry Christmas, I mean only the very best and the utmost love. I would never bitch because a store had a menorah on display beside a Christmas tree (or instead of one); I would never be offended that someone said Happy Hanukah to me and not Merry Christmas; and I certainly would not raise a holy war to try and force my local stores to wish everyone a Merry Specific Holiday.
I ask you to please support LOVE this season.
That's what it should be about and not "us" versus "them". ![]()
(7) My Stock. Ive been trying very hard to post the remainder of 2009s stock material in my ~jeanniebluestock account, and bring it up to date for the start of 2010. If you are looking for Stock of my material, thats where you can find it!
(8) *SanibelRoos Annual Holiday Pet Photo Contest is here! This contest is a really fun time and a great opportunity to torment the ones you love with silly costumes.
(Of course & as always, please do so gently and kindly, and with only loving torture in mind.) Check out all the information @ [link]
(9) Holiday Art Feature. I've been perusing everyone's Holiday-themed art of late, and I decided to put together a quick little feature of all this wonderful art. There's the merry, the jolly, and the bizarre . . . [link]
(10) Back To The Future. Each week in this journal, I've taken it upon myself to toss out ONE piece of my art that's over one year old. A little self-promo, if you will, but in a subtle, tasteful manner.
So, let's roll! ![]()
Week 22 - Christmas Tastes Like Crap
I'm going to end here and wish everyone a really wonderful, peaceful and loving Holiday. Spend it in good company and with a smile on your face!
I don't know if I'll be back next week or if I'll take a week or two off, but until the next time we meet again . . .
Candy Cane Kisses,
Jeannie ![]()
